Birds, Butterflies, and Blooms
March 22 - April 27
Birds, Butterflies, and Blooms is currently on exhibit in the Arts Council Gallery (March 22 - April 27).
This open exhibit features over 100 pieces of fine art and craft created by local and regional artists. A vast array of media is represented in Birds, Butterflies, and Blooms, including sculpture, fiber arts, mixed media, photography, and painting (oil, watercolor, pastel, etc.).
The Gallery is open Tuesday - Friday, from 11am - 4pm, and on Saturdays, from 1-4pm.

Purchase your raffle tickets at the Arts Council during regular hours (11am-5pm, Tuesday - Friday; 1-4pm, Saturday). It's the only way to win!
The drawing will take place of Thursday, April 25th, at the Arts Council Gallery.
Blooms to Attract Birds and Butterflies

Bring your friends and join us at the Arts Council for a delightful luncheon and informative presentation by Hope Janowitz, owner of New Leaf Garden Market, on Wednesday, April 24th. Hope will entice the gardener in each of us with solutions for enticing birds and butterflies to our lawns and gardens. Hope will also have plants to show us. Ceramics Studio Program
Classes
Teens and Tweens
We're welcoming Spring with another Teens & Tweens Wheel class at the Arts Council! In this class, Teens & Tweens (ages 12-16), will expand their wheel throwing and glazing techniques under the guidance and instruction of our Ceramics Studio manager and resident potter, Alia.
This class will meet on Monday afternoons, beginning March 18. Class size is limited so don't delay!

Adults
Throwing Sets
Alia hasn't forgotten our adult potters! Join her in the ceramics studio for Throwing Sets, a wheel-throwing class for beginning through intermediate-level adult students. This class will meet on Saturday mornings, beginning March 16.

Decorative Coil Pots
In April, Alia will turn from wheel throwing to hand building. Join your friends in the studio on Saturday mornings, beginning April 13 to create your own decorative coil built pots. This class is for beginning- through intermediate-level adult students.

City of Brevard Public Art Policy
"In order to beautify public areas, enhance the quality of life for Brevard citizens, attract tourism, promote arts and culture, and encourage businesses to locate within the city, thus expanding Brevard’s economic base, it is the policy of the City of Brevard to promote public art, where appropriate, through the implementation of a clarified process and design guidelines."
In February 2021, the Brevard City Council adopted a Public Art Policy and Application Process, which defines "public art" as "art on publicly- or privately-owned non-residential property that is visible from public streets and pedestrian walkways to be approved by City Council prior to installation."
