Every student in the Transylvania County School system---almost 4,000 in all---receives curriculum-related performances and study guides annually. Professional artists/educators provide week long Artists-in-Residencies in public school classrooms, providing students with in-depth, hands-on learning experiences. Take Art to Heart volunteers teach visual arts and critical thinking skills to first, second and fifth grade students. Every Spring TC Arts plays host to the Transylvania County Student Art Show for students K-12.

Part of the Transylvania County Sesquicentennial 150th Celebration
TC Arts Council hosts this annual exhibit of artwork by local Transylvania County Students in grades K- 12. The exhibit will run from April 4 – 22. The gallery is open Monday – Friday from 10 am – 4 pm. A student reception will be held on Thursday, April 7 from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm.
