Fall Arts Classes To Be Held At TC Arts

Local Songwriter To Perform September 24 At Arts Council

On Sept. 24, local singer/songwriter Naomie April will perform a selection of her music at an evening concert at Transylvania Community Arts Council (TC Arts). The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m., and light refreshments will be served.

TC Arts Hosting 'Faces And Places' Artist Reception

The Transylvania Community Arts Council (TC Arts) is currently hosting "The Faces and Places of Transylvania County" exhibit at the TC Arts Gallery.
​
The exhibit will run through Sept. 25. On Friday, Aug. 20, from 5-7 p.m., the public is invited to a reception to meet the artists participating in the exhibit.

Pisgah Health Foundation, TC Arts Co-sponsoring An Artwork Auction
​
The Pisgah Health Foundation (Pisgah Health) and Transylvania Community Arts Council (TC Arts) are co-sponsoring an auction of artwork created by local artists Gordon Murray, Mary Murray, the late Tim Murray and Shawn Kermit White.
​
The auction will end with the "Last Chance Bid Party" from 6-8 p.m. at TC Arts on Friday, Aug. 6.

Annie Brobst to Perform at TC Arts

On August 12, Annie Brobst, award-winning country music singer/ songwriter, will perform at Transylvania Community Arts Council as part of its Performing Arts Series. The concert will begin at 7.00 pm, at the Arts Council building, 349 S. Caldwell St., in Brevard.

Transylvania Community Arts Council to Host April 29 Concert

Transylvania Community Arts Council (TC Arts) announces the first in a series of performing arts concerts. The band, Derricks and the Domino, will perform on Thursday, April 29, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., at the Arts Council building, 349 S. Caldwell St., in Brevard.

The Transylvania Community Arts Council (TC Arts) has announced the appointment of Kathy King as executive director

"Throughout the interview process, the committee found her to be wise, articulate, passionate and kind. She will listen and respond to our artistic community and community at large with fresh ideas while valuing and preserving the high-quality programs and services for which TC Arts is known", said Cindy Rehm, board president.

Faces Of Freedom 2021 Virtual Event

Transylvania Community Arts Council (TC Arts) is proud to announce that for the seventh year, the organization has partnered with community engagement entrepreneur Nicola Karesh to present Faces of Freedom. This invitational show features minority and other underrepresented artists in Transylvania County. In January 2020, the show opened to a standing-room-only crowd at the TC Arts gallery at 349 S. Caldwell St. in Brevard. This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, Karesh has planned a virtual event to share with the community.
