Nature journaling uses the power of observation and a closer study of plants; reinforces a knowledge of details; helps with identification; and keeps a personal record of plant life cycles, habit, climate change and other notes of interest.
We will go over what to put in your nature journal and learn some basic drawing skills to get you started followed by an opportunity to create a journal entry.
During the workshop, you will:
Learn what to include in a nature journal
Explore simple drawing techniques (no experience needed)
Create your first journal entry
Escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life and spend an afternoon with us as we explore this fulfilling activity and feel mentally refreshed! Light refreshments will be provided.

What to Bring:
A few specimens of your choice such as: Leaves, twigs, acorns, dried blooms, etc.
Pencil (#2 or mechanical, if you have one); paper will be provided, but you may also bring your own sketchbook and art supplies.
