Art, Architecture & Design

This open exhibition showcases the elements and principles of design that are the foundation for all forms of art and architecture. Over 20 local and regional artists have submitted almost 50 pieces of original artwork, some of which is design-driven and others that are nonfunctional, illustrating these principles.
Join us for the Opening Reception on Friday, July 3, to meet the artists and explore their submissions.

CALL TO ARTISTS
Fourth Annual Juried Exhibition August 7 - September 19
The Arts Council has issued a call to artists for its upcoming Fourth Annual Juried Art Exhibition, August 7 – September 19, 2026. This call is open to all visual artists, regardless of experience level or geographic location, who are at least 18 years of age.
Artists are invited to submit imaginative, distinctive, and creative works of any theme in any visual art media (except video/film). Artificial Intelligence (AI) art will not be accepted. Only original works of art produced within the preceding five years will be accepted.
Chris Foley, artistic director and owner of The Haen Gallery located in Asheville and Haen Gallery Annex in Brevard, is the juror for this year’s exhibition. Cash prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place entries, in addition to honorable mention awards.
The entry fee for up to three pieces of artwork is $35 for Arts Council members, and $40 for non-members, and the deadline for entries is August 1. Description: Invitational Exhibition, featuring the Land of Waterfalls Camera Club.
May 7 – 16: Transylvania County Schools Student Art Show
Description: This exhibit features the artwork of students in grades K-12 in the Transylvania County Schools.
May 22 – June 13: Transylvania Art Guild Summer Showcase
Description: An invitational exhibit featuring Transylvania Art Guild artists.

Description: Open Exhibition. Artwork must fit the theme.
