Transylvania Community Arts Council (Arts Council) invites artists to submit original artwork for its upcoming festive winter exhibition, The Great Holiday Scrapbook: Memories, Magic, and Midwinter, an open exhibition of fine art and craft. The exhibit will open on Friday, November 6, and close on Thursday, December 19, 2026.
We are seeking lighthearted, joyful, and nostalgic artwork that captures the essence of the Holiday and Winter seasons. We want to see your interpretation of Thanksgiving, holiday cheer and traditions, and the magic of the Winter Solstice. We hope this exhibition will become a community scrapbook—a collection of memories, comfort, and festive fun!
Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme widely: from the festive feasts and family chaos of Thanksgiving; to the twinkling lights, decorations, and packages of Christmas and Hannukah; and the snowy landscapes and folklore of Winter Solstice and Midwinter. Let your imagination be your guide!
This exhibit is open to all artists, regardless of age, level of experience, and residency, and all mediums (other than sound). The submission date for registration forms and artwork is Monday and Tuesday, November 2 and 3, from 11am – 4pm. Registration is available online at tcarts.org/exhibits-registration, and in person at 349 South Caldwell Street..
When registering, please submit via email (info@tcarts.org) up to 2 high resolution images of each of pieces of art listed on the application form.
