Class Descriptions


Adult Classes:

Hand-Built Serving Dishes 

This class will meet on Thursday and Friday afternoons, beginning August 24. In this class, participants will learn handbuilding techniques to make tableware fit for a party! From olive trays to condiment dishes to charcuterie platters, we will explore a variety of forms of the students choosing, learning both pinch and slab methods along the way. Beginner and intermediate students are welcome!

Class Dates: September 28, 29; October 5, 6

Class Time: 4-5.30pm

Practice Makes Perfect!

This class will meet on Thursday and Friday afternoons, beginning September 7. Come learn and hone your wheel-throwing skills under Alia's guidance. Whether this is your first class or your tenth, you will benefit from this class! After learning the basics, Alia will provide one-on-one guidance through a variety of thorwing exercises designed to improve your wheel throwing skills. Part of the third week will be used to finish and glaze your best pieces before they are fired in the kiln. Three open studio sessions are included with this class so that you can further your practice between glasses. On the wheel, practice does make perfect!!

Class Dates: September 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22

Class Time: 6-7.30pm
