ANNUAL PROGRAMS
Because we believe arts are relevant to everybody, TC Arts offers programs that meet the needs of many segments of the community. Here’s a list of some of our regularly scheduled programs. As we receive funds this list will evolve.

Arts In Schools
The TC Arts Council partners with Transylvania County Schools to present Arts In Schools each year. Students in the Transylvania County School system receive curriculum-related performances and/ or an artist-in-residency program. Professional artists/educators provide week-long Artists-in-Residencies in public school classrooms, providing students with in-depth, hands-on learning experiences. Take Art to Heart teachers bring visual arts, art history and critical thinking skills to third, fourth and fifth grade students. Every Spring TC Arts plays host to the Transylvania County Student Art Show for students K-12. TC Arts makes more than 12,000 student contacts annually.

TC Arts Center Gallery
The TC Arts gallery space hosts up to twelve exhibitions a year featuring local and regional artists. This gallery space gives local and regional artists the opportunity to display and sell their artwork.

Art Classes
Introductory arts, craft,s and pottery classes have been offered to adults and children since 1998. In 2016 the TC Arts Council opened its Pottery Studio led by Summer Coen. TC Arts' Arts Academy also offers week-long art classes, ceramics classes, and photography classes for children during the summer, and ongoing classes for adults and children throughout the entire year.
